Mobile Companies Asked to Filter SMS Messages

Pakistan Telecommunication Authority is working on a mechanism under which mobile phone operators will filter SMS messages to check for black listed keywords to make sure that SMS messages with bad language aren’t delivered to mobile phone users.

Mobilink Imposes 2 % Operational Fee on Card Reloads

Mobilink is up with this news for it’s prepaid customers, that it will deduct 2 percent operational fee (in addition to already applicable fees and charges) for those who will recharge their accounts through scratch cards. Pakistan Blocks Thousands of Adult Websites

Pakistani internet service providers have started the process of blocking websites with adult and explicit content. Earlier this month PTA, telecom regulatory authority of Pakistan, had decided to block the access of those websites in Pakistan that contain adult content.

PTA Issues SMS Based Perception Survey Results for Celcos

PTA has issued the results for SMS based customers’ perception survey, where system was designed in a way that it could randomly send SMS to mobile phone users to invite them to participate in the survey by replying the SMS with score ranging from 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest) for his/her respective mobile operator.
